Liam Neeson’s son Micheál Neeson has been cast to star in an upcoming film as Michael Collins — the same Irish revolutionary played by his dad almost 20 years ago.
In 1996, Liam starred in Neil Jordan’s 1920s-set “Michael Collins.”

It’s Micheál’s first big role, and producer Kevin McCann is co-writing the screenplay.
Micheál recently revealed that after the death of his beloved mom, Natasha Richardson, in 2009, “things just started going downhill. The people I was with .?.?. were partying a lot. It was dark. I hit rock bottom.”
Page Six reported in 2013 he was even hanging with Lindsay Lohan.
But he’s bounced back to kick-start his acting career.
